Seriously!!! I got “lucky” when I bought my house and just had a top border in a couple rooms. Even that small amount of wallpaper has been a total disaster. I did my Youtube homework, LIES!!!! Some suggest dampening the paper with hot water and vinegar, or hot water and fabric softener, this works like crap, leaves a layer in very intermittent areas and creates additional nightmares to try and get the wall back to normal.

Steam is your friend!!!!! Buy a humidifier, it’s worth it. Bonus points: humidity makes your house feel warmer in the winter. I left mine run in the bedroom over night and was able to peel almost an entire wall in the morning. Yes humidifiers suck a lot of electricity but trust me its worth it. Double bonus points: if you have a hand held clothes steamer you can use this as well, better if used in addition to the humidifier. Also, the steam (and other water methods suggested by others) will cause the glue to drip down the walls. Be sure to clean this off, paint doesn’t like to stick to it. That is all, you are welcome!
